Our Board of Directors

Hassan Ali Jawad is the CEO/Chairman of Haj Finance Group and he has more than 35 years of experience at investment management firms and banks across both retail and institutional platforms in the Sultanate of Oman. He has held senior executive positions at some of the most prominent financial organizations in the Sultanate of Oman. Simon is a graduate of Banking and Finance from the prestigious Havard University and a Masters Degree in Management from the University of Maine. He brings many years of leadership experience to his role on the Board of Directors, including his extensive background in executive management and sales.

Christopher Bosch oversees the strategic management of the firm and is responsible for driving growth and preserving the firm's unique culture. As an industry veteran and trusted manager, he advises entrepreneurs and executives on their overall business needs. Over the past 20 years his focus as an executive and entrepreneur has been on funding, investing in and building asset management companies. He has been successful in building and managing high performing teams operating in both public and private capital markets. Working with both alternative and traditional strategies. He earned a B.A. in Economics from the University of Texas, El Paso and an M.B.A. from Oxford University.

Mohammed Hassan Ali joined Haj Finance Group in June 1991, bringing more than 30 years of industry experience, including 13 years as the Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Investment Officer of several companies in the Sultanate of Oman. He began his career in 1981, where he started as a sales representative and went onto a variety of management positions. Mohammed Hassan Ali also has served in mulitple management and financial positions within the company. Mohammed Hassan Ali earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Kentucky and completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.

Fatima Al Juma leads Haj Finance Group's Investment Research Team. She assists with investment manager due diligence, asset allocation modeling, and implementation and travels the world searching for the best investment managers for the firm clients. She was appointed to the board on June 2012 and is a member of Investment Committee. Prior to joining Haj Finance Group, She has held several key management positions in several MENA region firms. She is responsible for performing analysis of risk, premium levels, break-even probabilities, and general reserving practices for clients. Ashley received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and Economics from the University of the Sultanate of Oman.

Appointed to the Board on January 2000 Bin Mohammed Omar has over 25 years experience in international business across financial services, banking and renewable energy. He joined Haj Finance Group from Unity Bank where he was a member of the Group's Executive Committee. He previously held positions as Chief Operating Officer and Finance Director at other firms in Europe. He brings with him more than 25 years of corporate finance experience. Mr. Bin Mohammed Oma has gained all-round knowledge in respect of the development of the Sultanate of Oman financial service industry and has established a strong network through working with both international and local financial companies in the Sultanate of Oman. He holds a Master of Business Administration with distinction in Finance; a Master of Science in Computer, Information & Control Engineering; and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, all from the University of Michigan.
